The Bulldog!

For my second project I repainted the bulldogs that you can see above. It took awhile for our janitor to get it down for me but he was very nice! I decided to paint the bulldog because it really need it, along with the building. I wish I could paint the building to but the city is in charge of that.

Pop Art
A form of art that depicts objects or scenes from everyday life and employs techniques of commercial art and popular illustration.


Pop Art is one of my favorite forms of style. I like pop art because of the bright colors and bold lines. One of my favorite pop art artists are Andy Wharhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Wharhol is known for his depictions of Coca Cola bottles, Campbell's Soup Cans and altering photos of Marilyn Monroe. Lichtenstein is famous for use of comic-book or graphic-novel-like images in his artwork. Lichtenstein paintings freeze a particular moment of emotion, often with a word balloon.
