In one way or another all the Elements of Art art and Principles of Design being used in some way in my current project...
Elements of Art
Line: I use the element of line in my project by each 1/8 wide strip of paper and folding them.
Shape: I draw the outline of the bird and the different patterned and shapes within in the bird, like the tear drop shape with in the bird's wing.
Form: I use the element of shape in my project by folding paper many different way to make different shapes depending on what part I am currently working on.
Color: The colors I'm doing with in the bird, and the "cherries" on the branches I think really brings it to life.
Value: The colors on the birds chest go from a lite yellow to a white.
Texture: All the varies of paper folds cause a texture.
Space: I tried to make sure I filled the space with the branches and cherries.
The Principles of Design
Balance: I am going to try to distribute the weight of the birds with the branches and cherries.
Contrast: Because of all the different paper folds their will be lots of texture.
Emphasis: The birds stick out a lot because the emphasis of the color on the birds.
Movement: The way the braches move though the picture causes your eye to follow it.
Pattern: The pattern of the folds of paper.
Rhythm: The branches cause visual movement.
Unity: Hopefully when I'm done and nicely finished.
